Query Format

[Component-ID]Value

To perform an “And” search, separate the Component-ID/Value pairs with a space.

To perform an “Or” search, separate the Component-ID/Value pair groups with a | character.

Example

[MSH-9.2]A08 [PID-5.1]Doe|[MSH-9.2]A08 [PID-5.1]Smith

Results

The above query example would return all messages that contain an A08 in the Message Type – Trigger Event that contains a Patient Name – Family Name of Doe, or all messages that contain an A08 in the Message Type – Trigger Event that contains a Patient Name – Family Name of Smith.

Null or Empty

To search for empty or null column values, put NULL as your Value to search for.

Example

[PID-5.1]NULL

Results

The above query example would return all messages that do not contain a value in the Patient Name – Family Name field, or do not contain this field at all.

Non-Null or Non-Empty

To search for non-empty or non-null column values, put !NULL as your value to search for.

Example

[PID-5.1]!NULL

Results

The above query example would return all messages that contain a value in the Patient Name – Family Name field no matter what that value is.
